Level 3 Teaching Assistant - PRU SettingWest Lancashire Area
September 2026 Start
Full Time | Fixed Term | Term Time Only Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a resilient and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision in the West Lancashire area from September 2026.This rewarding role involves supporting young people aged 11-16 with social, emotional and behavioural needs, including students requiring additional pastoral support and those working towards EHCP assessment pathways.The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils both inside and outside of the classroom, helping to create a safe, engaging and structured learning environment where students can thrive academically, socially and emotionally. The role will include:
* Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
* Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation
* Helping deliver tailored interventions and learning activities
* Monitoring pupil progress and supporting target setting
* Building positive relationships with pupils, families and external professionals
* Assisting with administrative duties including pupil records and risk assessmentsWe are looking for someone who:
* Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience
* Has experience supporting young people with additional needs or challenging behaviour
* Is calm, patient and resilient under pressure
* Works well as part of a team
* Has strong communication and organisational skills
* Is passionate about making a difference to vulnerable young people This role would suit experienced Teaching Assistants, youth workers, behaviour mentors or support staff with experience in SEMH, alternative provision or pastoral settings.In return, Tradewind Recruitment offer:
